“We wanted a fun and interactive piece that people couldn’t ignore during the holidays. Wrapped submarine sandwiches already resemble a present, so we thought we’d complete the connection by wrapping them in sub themed Christmas paper. The existing tagline for the store is ‘Subs worth discovering’, so we made all of the holiday patterns based on sub imagery, rewarding the viewer for even deeper exploration.”

“Using a ketchup sachet, we demonstrated the horrific nature of living in a land mine affected country and how much a part of everyday life that horror is. The idea is simple: as you tear open the sachet you also rip through the child’s leg and the ketchup inside pours out like blood.”

“Soso is a brand of high quality salts, which come from a salt mine located in a natural reserve in the south of Spain. The client was looking for a distinguishing container that could be used both to store salts and as a salt cellar. An egg is the perfect container, as its own shell is the packaging, so it was decided that an egg shape would be reproduced. The project and the brand were named Soso, which means ‘lacking salt’ or ‘short of salt’ in Spanish.”
